About this summary
This plain-language overview is based on the constitution supplied for this website. It is not the complete rules or legal advice, and does not establish that the document is the latest registered version. Ask the secretary for the current rules and amendments.
Committee and member voice
The supplied rules provide for a president, treasurer and other members elected at a general meeting, with separate arrangements for appointing or electing a secretary. Committee members retire at each annual general meeting and may be nominated for re-election. The committee manages the association’s affairs, property and funds.
Rules 15, 17–19 and 22.
Meetings and accountability
The rules provide for annual general meetings, committee elections, financial reporting and meeting minutes. Members may ask the secretary about meeting notices, participation and access to general-meeting minutes. Dates and current officeholders are confirmed by the committee, not inferred from this document.
Rules 26, 30–35 and 41.
Funds serve the association’s purposes
The constitution requires association funds to be kept in an account in the association’s name. Expenditure must be approved or ratified by the management committee, and income and property used to advance the association’s objects and exercise its powers. Its winding-up rule prohibits distributing surplus assets among members.
Rules 45–46 and 49. These rules do not establish charity registration or tax-deductible gift status.
